High-durability architectural and industrial finishes engineered to provide optimal protection against intense solar radiation, heat, and sand abrasion.
Under the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, Riyadh is transitioning into a global manufacturing and logistics hub. The demand for advanced materials is shifting towards long-life, zero-solvent coatings.
Riyadh's aggressive urban expansion, punctuated by massive developments like the King Salman Park, the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), and surrounding industrial cities (MODON), presents a challenging environment for structural materials. These mega-structures demand surface protection solutions that can withstand UV index levels peaking at 11+ and summer temperatures regularly exceeding 50°C. Standard liquid coatings degrade quickly under these conditions, leading to chalking, loss of adhesion, and premature corrosion.
As a leading developer, Tianjin SSEART New Materials Co., Ltd. addresses these localized challenges with high-performance powder coatings. Formulated with saturated polyester resins and advanced UV stabilizers, our solutions provide excellent color retention and gloss integrity. They meet the strict requirements of modern architectural and industrial applications in the GCC region, minimizing maintenance and extending the lifespan of critical infrastructure.
Saudi Arabia’s national decarbonization strategies demand eco-friendly manufacturing materials. Solvent-based wet paint, which releases high levels of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), is increasingly restricted. Our dry powder formulations contain no solvents and release virtually zero VOCs during curing. They align directly with the environmental goals of the Saudi Green Initiative.
Additionally, the physical wear from desert sandstorms requires coating systems with high abrasion resistance. Our sand-texture and heavy-duty protective polyester lines are engineered to absorb abrasive physical impacts without chipping. This maintains structural integrity and corrosion protection for electrical enclosures, building facades, and public transit systems.
Combining academic material science with strict international quality control systems to support industrial procurement requirements.
Tianjin SSEART New Materials Co., Ltd. (also known as Tianjin Shengda New Materials Co., Ltd.) established its footprint in 2000. Over more than two decades, we have evolved into a national high-tech enterprise, recognized as a "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative" enterprise. Our focus remains on high-performance coating chemistry.
To keep pace with the evolving demands for sustainable and functional coatings, SSEART works with academic institutions. In 2019, we initiated a collaborative partnership with the Particle Technology and Fluidization Research Group (PRTFC) at Tianjin University. Led by Professor Zhu Jingxu, a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and the Canadian Academy of Engineering, and Professor Zhang Hui of Tianjin’s "Thousand Talents Program," this collaboration drives innovation in ultra-fine powder technologies and low-temperature curing chemistry.
Rigorous testing specifications demonstrating physical, chemical, and environmental resistance under GCC weathering conditions.
| Testing Standard | Property Evaluated | SSEART Quality Performance Metric | Riyadh Environmental Performance Advantage |
|---|---|---|---|
| ASTM G154 (Cycle 1) | Accelerated UV Weathering | >90% Gloss retention at 1000 hrs exposure | Prevents surface chalking and fading from high UV index. |
| ASTM B117 | Salt Spray Corrosion Resistance | Passes >1000 hours with <2mm creep from scribe | Protects metal substructures in high-salinity coastal areas and humid microclimates. |
| ISO 2409 / ASTM D3359 | Adhesion (Cross-Cut Test) | Classification 0 (GT0) - No detachment | Ensures the coating remains bonded under high sand abrasion and thermal stress. |
| ASTM D2794 | Impact Resistance | Passes 50 kg·cm (Direct & Reverse) | Prevents damage from impact during transportation, installation, and operation. |
| Qualicoat / GSB Specs | Architectural Suitability | Meets Class 1 and Class 2 requirements | Approved for architectural aluminum profiles used in major GCC building designs. |

Traditional thermosetting powder coatings cure at temperatures between 180°C and 200°C. SSEART is developing formulations that cure at 130°C to 150°C. This lower temperature requirement directly reduces energy consumption on coating lines, helping manufacturing facilities lower their operational carbon footprint.
Lower curing temperatures also allow powder coatings to be applied to heat-sensitive substrates, such as engineered woods (MDF) and plastics. This expands their application beyond metals to new consumer goods and furniture segments in the Middle East.
Dust accumulation reduces the efficiency of solar panels and soils building facades in the GCC. Our R&D team is developing super-hydrophobic and anti-static powder coatings. These specialized surfaces minimize dust adhesion, allowing wind or minimal rainfall to clear away debris, reducing maintenance requirements.
We are also testing thermal-insulative coatings designed to reflect heat radiation. Applied to building enclosures, these coatings help reduce indoor cooling loads, lowering air conditioning energy demands during hot summer months.
